When my husband and I took a trip to Pleasant Hill., KY and visited a Shaker village I saw a room filled with spinning wheels and looms . I said," I can do that". I started to look for a wheel and bought a used Louet. My first yarn was so bad I almost gave up. That was over 15 years ago. A few years later my sister gave me and old 2-harness rug loom. It needed a new reed and heddles but I dove in and learned to weave. I already knew how to knit from my Girl Scout days. My favorite thing to do is to take a raw fleece, dye or blend it to create something unique.
